CINCINNATI (AP) — A federal court jury has found the owner of a company that sells "male enhancement" tablets and other herbal supplements guilty of bank fraud and money laundering.
Steve Warshak is founder and president of Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, distributor of Enzyte and a number of products alleged to boost energy, manage weight, reduce memory loss and aid restful sleep.
Television ads for Enzyte feature "Smiling Bob," a goofy, grinning man whose life gets much better after he uses the product.
Warshak could face more than 20 years in prison and his company could have to forfeit tens of millions of dollars following the verdict on Friday.

I was wondering how long it would take to put these idiots in jail. How stupid can you be???

The people who advertised "Longitude Pills" went to jail and had to forfeit millions of dollars and had several luxury cars auctioned. "After all, women like a bigger man."

A Scottsdale, Ariz., company that sold what it claimed were penis- and breast-enlargement pills over the Internet was raided by state and federal agents who said they seized more than $30 million in assets, including cash, jewelry, luxury homes and automobiles including eight Mercedes, a Cadillac, a Rolls-Royce and a Lamborghini.

C.P. Direct, Inc. and three of its officers -- Geraldine Consoli, 76; her son, Michael A. Consoli, 44; and Vincent J. Passafiume, 28 -- were accused of fraud, theft, money laundering and racketeering in court documents filed by the Arizona Attorney General.

Looks like we have another candidate for the pokie. The Extenze company is advertising on TV regarding increased length at extenze.com.

Here's the wikipedia entry on the company:

"ExtenZe is an herbal nutritional supplement manufactured by Dish Direct Incorporated AKA Maximizer Health Products Incorporated.[1] The manufacturer claims ExtenZe promotes "natural male enhancement", which is a euphemism for penis enlargement, increased duration and firmness of erection and increased sexual stamina. Early infomercials for the ExtenZe pill featured a studio audience and porn star Ron "The Hedgehog" Jeremy.[2]

In 2006 ExtenZe agreed to pay the Orange County, California district attorney’s office $300,000 in civil penalties for unfair business practices and false advertising. Susan Kang Schroeder of the DA office said the company couldn’t back up its claim that the pills caused users’ penises to grow 27%.

After several customers in Laguna Beach, California complained to the Better Business Bureau that ExtenZe was making them sick, the district attorney investigated. Investigations revealed that ExtenZe’s lead content was beyond the legal limits."
